DIPLOMA IN MINISTRY

COURSE OVERVIEW

The Diploma In Ministry programme is designed to equip students who want to pursue a career in Christian/Ordained Ministry.

The Programme prepares Christian community leaders with the relevant theological knowledge required for Christian Ministry/Ordained ministry.

COURSE DURATION

This is a (1) one year programme.
Students can complete the programme by attending two online lectures per month (Thursday evenings) from 7.30 to 9.30 pm.

Students are required to complete one month practical attachments with any approved church or Christian organisation to enable them put their knowledge to practical use. Placements earn credits towards final award.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Able to speak, read and write in English
  • Must hold a foundation certificate in Theology or Biblical Studies, Certificate of Discipleship
    or Evangelism from a recognised institution
  • Mature students with practical experience in Ministry will be considered, subject to successful interview with the Course Director.

QUALIFICATION

Students who successfully complete the programme are awarded Diploma in Ministry.

They can also apply for Ministerial Accreditation with the possibility of Ordination by Churches In Communities International (CIC), after appropriate probationary period subject to status.

CIC is a member of Free Churches Group, churches together in
England and Evangelical Alliance (UK).
